2024 GOLD COAST OPEN TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Venue: Gold Coast Table Tennis Centre - Lot 1 Herbertson Drive, Molendinar, QLD

Entries: Entries accepted online (preferred) and by email.

Entries close - Thursday 8th AUGUST

CHAMPIONSHIP CONDITIONS

Lodgement of an entry will be considered acceptance of the following 2024 Gold Coast Open conditions:

  1. The Championships will be held under the TTQ regulations and the current ITTF laws of Table Tennis.

  2. Events 1 and 2, Group matches shall be the best of 5 games in a Round Robin format. Then the Knock-out format from the QF stage is the best of 7 games. All other events are the best of 5 games, including finals.                                                                               

  3. Each match shall be controlled by an Umpire whose decision shall be final on point of view. The decision of the Referee shall be final on point of law.

  4. Seedings and acceptance of entries are at the discretion of the tournament committee.

  5. DHS 3 star white balls, DHS tables & nets will be used. Flooring is Taraflex.

  6. All entrants must be currently registered players of an Association affiliated with TTA or relevant association.

  7. Losing players will umpire subsequent matches before leaving the centre. Players can be called on to umpire at any time when they are not competing.

  8. Players not available to play when called upon to do so may be defaulted.

  9. Insufficient entries may warrant the cancellation or combining of events without prior notification.

  10. Junior Age event limits (events 10 to 17) - Under age as at 01/01/2024                                                                                                   Veteran Age event limits (events 24 to 35) - Over age during 2024

  11. Prizemoney: Events 1 & 2, prizemoney is as set.                                                                                                                                          Singles Events: Prizemoney will be paid - Winners 40%, R/Up 20%.                                                                                                            Junior Events, Para Singles & Graded/Veterans Doubles Events: Winner & Runner-up to receive Medals.

  12. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter prizemoney if insufficient entries are received for an event.

  13. Entry fees must be paid on arrival and prior to playing of any event. Fees will only be refunded under exceptional circumstances.

  14. Players are restricted to enter a maximum of six (6) events per day.

  15. Doubles entrants must ensure that their partner has submitted a separate entry form. If partner required, write ‘Partner Required' in space provided. Players must accept doubles partner provided in these circumstances. Doubles event entries are based on each individual ‘rating’, not the average.

  16. Dress regulations will be enforced. No white apparel.

  17. Only I.T.T.F. approved glues may be used. No glueing of rackets permitted inside the playing hall. There are areas provided for glueing.

  18. Bad language, offensive and unsportsmanlike behaviour or willful damage will not be tolerated. Offenders are liable to disqualification.

  19. Players participate in the tournament at their own risk and no claim for injury whatsoever will be recognised.

  20. The Gold Coast Table Tennis Association Inc. reserves the right to refuse entry to any competitor. All entries are subject to the approval of the Tournament Committee.
